Hello, I’m Idris A. Day (Deadlight online tag). I’m the author of CROSS. 

I’m 28. I currently live in the US (Midwest). And I’m a lifelong anime fan and manga reader.

The inspiration for this story came from Full Metal Alchemist (my all-time favorite anime). 

The magic system took inspiration from Hunter x Hunter.

This is the official website where I post chapters of the story in a weekly serialized format.

What’s my long term plans for the CROSS series?

• 6 books at least. The arcs are already planned and outlined.
• When a book is fully complete, the chapters will be compiled and professionally edited (the core story won’t change). And available in print format.
• Immediate start on the Web Toon after the story is complete: The end goal is to adapt CROSS into a Web Toon. A 1-to-1 visualization of the original story here.
• Dream goal: Getting CROSS an anime adaptation 😭 (fingers crossed, no pun intended)

What to expect from the story?

• A unique magic system, with strong hard rules
• Magic based on modern day languages. Each language having its own individual powers
• A “powerful” MC that faces unique struggles
• Lots of fantasy/magical creatures 🙂
• Progression Fantasy set in the modern world
• Visuals to accompany the story

All art for the series is done by myself, you can find it in the menu. If time allows, I’ll complete art for the story during the weekend.
